A project designed in collaboration with Elsa Yranzo.
Wood, Tools & Routine were the three key words that we gave to the sculptor Antoni Yranzo at the end of the summer 2019 to create a tool/cutlery that could be used during the gastronomic & artistic experience In The Bauhaus Kitchen at the Barcelona Pavilion. (experience of which we were curators and masters of ceremony)
His response was a magnificent and iconic detachable fork made entirely of reclaimed woods from his workshop. A piece that the guests of the experience had to assemble on site (guided by the sculptor himself) and they used throughout the whole dinner at the Pavilion.
In The Bauhaus Kitchen Knife was born as a challenge, a new creative exercise and a tribute at the same time, through which Elsa and Sebastián intend to decode and celebrate the creative imaginary and work philosophy of Antoni Yranzo in a search of a worthy companion who can match his fork on future gastronomic adventures.
The knives were designed by Elsa and Sebastian and developed under the advice and close supervision of Antoni. They are made out of oak, African cedar (bosse) and copper.
All the materials were recovered from Antoni Yranzo’s workshop and hand crafted.
ITBKK two unique pieces were created for the second edition of The Table Knife Project. A collaborative project for a cause by Florentine Kitchen Knives & friends.
